Jiah Khan is a Bollywood actress. She was born on February 20, 1988 in New York, and later moved to London.. Jiah studied English literature and acting in Lee Strasberg’s Institute.
She is the daughter of actress Rabiya.She had been brought up single-handedly by her mother. She has completed her A levels in film studies and literature in London.
She has a great passion for music and dancing.Jiah began dabbling with music and almost came to the point of releasing an album. She knows how to play the piano and she had recorded six pop numbers before she ran out of finance. Jiah has been consistently learning different styles of dancing for the last nine years. Today she knows belly dancing, salsa, lambada, jazz, reggae, samba and Kathak.
She has been in the limelight due to the impending release of her debut Hindi movie where she is pitted against the maestro, Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Verma’s Nishabd.
Jiah was initially chosen by Mahesh Bhatt, to act opposite Emraan Hashmi in “Tumsa Nahin Dekha” but however there was a change at the last moment and did the movie otherwise that would have been her debut movie.
